If you have ever trekked with any of India’s most renowned commercial trekking organizations, chances are that you have already stayed in Gipfel made tents. There is a world of difference between Gipfel tents and other readily available tents in India. Given below are some of those factors.
1. 7000 series aviation grade Aluminium DAC poles
No matter which tent you buy, even our most low key tent features Pressfit DAC Aluminium poles. If used properly, they will last you for over 5 years with hyper frequent use. To help you draw parallels, these are the same poles that are used by The North face, MSR and Mountain Hardwear tents!
2. Functional Zippers
We use specially designed functional zippers that are made by the world’s best and are tested to -60° Celcius. Our customers vouch for the fact that our zippers are snag free whereas regular zippers break in extreme cold.
3. Extra roomy and super comfy tents
Our team ran a comparison of our tents’ features with some popular tents in India market. Except for Lupus 2, all our tents feature 2 doors and 2 vestibules. The peak height and floor area are bigger than any other similar tents. The side walls of tents are kept vertical so that you don’t feel them closing up around your head. While this increases the costs a little bit, it does make you feel better and the overall experience is enhanced!
4. Warranty for commercial use
Unlike any other, we offer warranty on our tents even for commercial use. For commercial use, the tents and their warranty terms are slightly different from our standard tents. Therefore, we encourage commercial tour operators to contact us separately with their requirements. We offer them tents in accordance to their needs.
5. Opportunity to cobrand their tents
In this world of fierce competition we know how much everyone loves to stand out. What’s better than branding your tents with your own company logo? We offer commercial operators an opportunity to have their tents personalized for a reasonable order quantity and short lead times.
We vouch for every tent we make. Our tents’ outer rainflies are made from either ripstop Nylon (for expedition tents) or Polyester (for commercial operators and camping tents) that exhibit a minimum of 3,000 mm of Hydrostatic head waterproofing. The ground sheets are a minimum of 5,000 mm Hydrostatic head waterproofing. When we say ‘minimum’, we really do mean it because if we test our fabrics, they always exceed their rated values by nearly 10%. But that’s not it! In addition to waterproof PU coating, our fabrics feature a cold applied Silicone coating on the other side of fabric that makes it water repellent. Tent making is a skill that we acquired over a period of years and we learn from our mistakes. Our desire to excel in whatever we do knows no bounds. There is a never a dull day in our tent manufacturing department.
